  1. PRIMAVERA PROJECT PLANNER TRAINING:
 

    In July 2003, I got admittance for the training of primavera project planner in well known Institute (KLG Steel) which is registered by Primavera organization. Here I got hands on Training on P3 and theoretical knowledge as well. I acquired good knowledge about controlling & scheduling the projects.  

  1. DCS SYSTEM TRAINING:
 

    In July 2001, I got admittance in the same institute (Prolific Automation Training Institute) but in Mumbai branch, for training of DCS system. Here I got Hands-on Training on Emerson’s DeltaV DCS system with version 6.0. 

  1. PLC SYSTEM TRAINING:
 

    In March 1999, I got admittance in “PLC Training Course” imparting by well renowned automation training institute (Prolific Automation Training Institute) in Delhi branch. Here I got hand-on training on different PLC systems (Siemens- S7, Omron, Etc). After completion of Training course, I was awarded by certification. 

    4. INDUSTRIAL TRAINING: 

    In October 1996, I had been be sent to the Asia’s 2nd biggest Steel Plant situated at Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand, for an additional training for increasing practical knowledge and getting better working skills in an Industrial Environment.

JOB SUMMARY: -

 

Organization:       -               KENTECH QATAR TECHNICAL SERVICES, MESAIEED, QATAR. 

This project involves the Design, Supply and Installation of the Mechanical, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation services required for the Harbour Facilities related to Qatalum’s new Aluminium Plant currently being constructed at Mesaieed Industrial City. 

Qatalum is jointly owned by Qatar Petroleum and Norsk Hydro ASA and the project involves the construction of a 585,000 ton Greenfield aluminium smelter. 

SNC Lavalin International has been appointed as the managing contractor for the Service Areas and Potroom Building. In terms of value, this contract represents Kentech’s largest project in Qatar to date. It is expected that around 500 personnel will be employed by Kentech at peak execution of the project which will bring our workforce in Qatar to in excess of 1,000 personnel during 2009.

Both Projects are Gold Refinery by Nature with its 80M USD value. In this project company will provide EPC services to client AGA, Estimated to be completed in 12 months. AGA is one of the biggest gold producers of the world originated from South Africa.

In August 2007, I joined TEKFEN Construction & Installation Co. Inc. which had been awarded a project for construction of the 234 km long Harweel Cluster 2nd Phase Oil and Gas Pipeline in Harweel region is the first project undertaken by Tekfen, in Oman.  

In this project the Company will provide services with its project partners Petrofac International and Galfar, to PDO - Petroleum Development Oman Company, a partnership of Shell. The project, with its USD 40 million value, is estimated to be completed in 40 months. It also involves engineering works during the first year of operation.

Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO) is the foremost exploration and production company in the Sultanate. It accounts for more than 90% of the country's crude-oil production and nearly all of its natural-gas supply. The Company is owned by the Government of Oman which has a 60% interest, Royal Dutch Shell which has a 34% interest, Total which has a 4% interest and Partex which has a 2% interest. The first economic find of oil was made in 1962, and the first consignment of oil was exported in 1967.

                                               (Toluene Di-Isocyanates Project, Bandar Imam Site-2, IRAN)

In October 2005, I joined Karoon petrochemicals, which is situated in Khouzistan Province of IRAN. KAROON Petrochemical Company (KRNPC), sister concern of NPC being the first Iranian international joint venture company in the field of petrochemical. The main production of the plant consist different grades of Isocyanates (TDI & MDI) with capacity of 80,000 Ton per year.

The National Petrochemical Company (NPC), a subsidiary to the Iranian Petroleum Ministry, is owned by the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is responsible for the development and operation of the country's petrochemical sector. Founded in 1964, NPC began its activities by operating a small fertilizer plant. Today, NPC is the second   largest producer and exporter of petrochemicals in the Middle East.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Preparing initial schedule, which includes main engineering deliverables, long lead procurement and major construction works.

  • Identifying corrective measures needed for overcoming any changes/difficulties that may be faced through the projects and may result in delays.

In august 2003, I again connected with Larsen & Toubro at the site of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), situated at Panipat, Haryana. It was a project of Refinery Industry of IOCL, known as PTA Project.  

Larsen & Toubro is well known EPC company globally. It is operating in various fields of  engineering and areas e.g. OIL & GAS, ENERGY and Petrochemical projects construction.

Nature of job: - The Jobs I have performed here are described below: - 

  • Preparing Programs of Works and Planning Control Schedules. Checking Subcontractors resources on site and comparing it with weekly reports.
 
  • Recording subcontractor’s daily progress reports. Reviewing subcontractor’s daily manpower reports machinery on site; ensure their compatibility out Reports to PD, PDD, and PM  & CM.

In February 2001, I got job with the company of “BOC GASES” at the site of “Burma Mines” situated in TATA STEEL PLANT at Jamshedpur.

It takes duration of approx 16 months to the completion of the Project. 

Nature of Job: 

  • Supervision of OPI (opening package inspection), of Instruments received at site from different instrument manufactures & suppliers to verify the conformance with specified “DATA SHEET” provided by technology supplier.
 
  • Involved in the “Detail Engineering” discussion with technology supplier during project expedition phase regarding all the aspects of Instrumentation works e.g. “Cable Routing”, “Device Installation”, “Latest Foundation Fieldbus technology implementation” etc.
 
  • Supervision of the MTO preparation of bulk materials for instrumentation jobs, e.g. Hook-ups, Instrument Air, ladder/tray/conduit, Earthing/Grounding.
 
  • Attending weekly “Internal Meeting” with other departments, weekly “Management Meeting” with construction manager, and “Daily Standing Meeting” with the construction contractors for the discussion regarding progress, problems/solutions and different other agendas.
 
  • Answering TQ’s (Technical Queries) rose by the sub-contractors with the involvement of technology supplier.
 
  • Preparation of all QA/QC formats and supervision of QA/QC activities for instrumentation works, e.g. Supports, Ladder/Tray/Conduit, Cable pulling, Device installation, Earthing/grounding system, Foundation Fieldbus system, etc.
 
  • Selection of necessary instruments required due to expansion of some units as per process data with the involvement of technology supplier.

In September 1999, I joined Larsen & Toubro at the expansion project of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) situated at Mahul Gaon, Bombay in Maharashtra.

  • Responsible for the Supervision, Inspection, Monitoring, Preparation and Implementation of Quality plan in Electrical, Instrumentation, Communication and Cathodic protection activities.
 
  • Drawings review and check field installation in conformance with specified project  Standards, and International standards.
 
  • Material receiving Inspections for identification and damages, Preparations of non-conformity reports in all deviations and violations of approved standards met during Inspections.
 
  • Prepare request for inspection to client for inspections and acceptance of installations and Testing.
 
  • Supervision of clearance of exception items lists, Prepare documentation & filing system of all Quality plan to delivery to client.

  • Supervising for the Installation of several types of Instruments, e.g. Honeywell smart series, Rosemount smart series model 1151, 3048. ABB field instruments. Control valves various types. Speed transmitters, switches, vibration instruments & MOV’s at their respected place & need specifically, as per Plot Plan and Hook-up’s.
 
  • Supervising of all Wiring of Cables, Termination of Cables, and Glanding for field instruments and inside the PLC/DSC panel located in the substations. Responsible to see that the assigned job is timely completed as per the project schedule.
 
  • Interpretation of electrical plans P&ID, Hook-Up‘s Drawing and shop drawing and specification of electrical and instrument equipment and materials.
 
  • Redlining the drawings, termination schedules, Instrument Loop Diagram (ILD), Datasheets and Logic diagrams etc., as per the modifications made on site. Functional testing of all Process Instruments in accordance with the company standard to confirm alarms, trips and set points.
